MonTally v3.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@ZeroxyDev ZeroxyDev released this 24 May 14:34

📜 Changelog - MonTally v3.1.0

✨ New:

  • Improved native PokeMMO connection detection:
MonTally now checks whether PokeMMO was actually launched through MonTally and whether the native tracker is really connected.

  • Better PokeMMO connection status:
The connection button now shows more accurate states such as connecting and connected, based on the real tracker session.

  • Auto-detection without first manual sync:
MonTally can now prepare the native tracker baseline automatically, so new PokeMMO encounters can start being detected even if you have not pressed Sync with PokeMMO yet.

  • More reliable real-time tracker session handling:
Improved validation for launched PokeMMO sessions to prevent false connected states when opening the game manually or after reconnecting.

  • Better Pokémon image loading:
Newly detected Pokémon now show a loading state more smoothly while their image is being prepared, avoiding empty blank spaces.

⚙️ Notes:

1: To use native PokeMMO connection features, launch PokeMMO from MonTally using the connection button.
2: MonTally can now detect new encounters without a first manual sync, but Sync with PokeMMO is still useful if you want to import your current existing tracker data.
3: If you open PokeMMO manually instead of through MonTally, the app will no longer treat that session as a full native tracker connection.

📜 Changelog - MonTally v3.0.0

✨ New:

  • *IMPORTANT: MonTally's native PokeMMO integration now requires Java 21 JDK or newer. Older Java versions are not supported and may prevent PokeMMO from launching correctly through MonTally.

  • MacOS support:
MonTally is now available on MacOS.

  • Direct PokeMMO integration:
You can now connect Montally directly with PokeMMO and sync encounters in real time with full reliability.

  • Import current PokeMMO encounters:
MonTally can import your existing PokeMMO encounter data and continue tracking from there.

  • New profile system:
Added support for profiles, including game-specific profiles like PokeMMO and automatic profile switching.

  • Real-time sync modes:
You can now either sync your current PokeMMO data into a profile or fully match PokeMMO data in real time.

  • Nidoran male/female support:
If you type "Nidoran", Montally will now let you choose between male and female.

⚙️ Notes:

1: To use real-time PokeMMO sync, launch PokeMMO from Montally using the new connection option.
2: Enter the game first before syncing, so Montally can read the current tracker data correctly.
3: Profiles can now be used to separate data between general tracking and game-specific tracking.

MonTally v2.2.5

@ZeroxyDev ZeroxyDev released this 01 May 01:29
92550d7

📜 Changelog - MonTally v2.2.5

🛠️ Fix:

  • Improved and rewritten recognition system:
The system has been rebuilt to include a queue-based mechanism, optimized to allow more frequent and efficient checks, resulting in better overall performance.

  • Refined Pokémon name detection:
The name detection logic has been made stricter while still preserving the complex handling of poorly formatted Pokémon names.

⚙️ Strong Recommendations:

1: Install the new side mod from https://github.com/ZeroxyDev/montally-optimizerOCR-mod/releases/latest in PokeMMO to greatly improve Pokémon detection in all kinds of environments like caves (currently works only with the default theme).
2: Enable the battle background in PokeMMO settings (Settings → Video → Show Battle Background).
3: Give a nickname to your Sweet Scent Pokémon.
