Steps to reproduce

Regression from 7.2.4 on Linux ARM64 (I also use the same 7.3.0-preview-8 on my work Windows machine and it does not have the same issue).

Start writing any input, then press Ctrl-C.

Expected behavior

Line gets cleared

Actual behavior

A literal `@` gets added to the line
