Can I customize how Embed looks on my website?
Yes! You can customize the colors, size, position, and display of notes. This can be done with the no-code tool (demo customizer) or directly in the JavaScript code.
How does Embed integrate with my website?
Embed integrates by generating iframes that you simply copy and paste into your HTML. For developers, the site can also be integrated by using the JavaScript API to allow you to push data to your site directly in the code.
Can multiple admins use one Embed account?
All of your scores should be hosted on a single Embed account. Who you choose to access that account is up to you.
I have an e-commerce website. How does pricing work for me?
We know that as an e-commerce site, you care about views and not users, so we want to adjust the pricing for you based on what matters to you. Simply reach out to us at embed@flat.io and we will negotiate custom pricing based on your website's volume.
How is a unique user counted?
A unique user is counted in two different ways.
- By including a unique user ID directly in the embed code. See support documents here.
- If you don’t have unique IDs, we track the number of unique IP addresses that access the embedded music. Keep in mind that this may be less precise!
How does the pricing work? Give me an example.
Pricing is based on unique users and usage is unrestricted. A user can view or interact with embedded music multiple times without extra charges. For example, if Tina visits your site daily, she's one unique user, costing 50 cents. If Tina frequents your site but doesn't view the embedded music, there's no charge. Similarly, if Tina pays a membership fee but doesn't visit your site or view the sheet music, there's no charge from Flat Embed.
What is Flat?
Flat is our Music Notation Platform. The sheet music is manipulated in the Flat Editor. The scores created on Flat can be embedded on your website. Or you can use your own sheet music in MusicXML or MIDI.
Is Embed allowed to use any of my content?
No way! We do not use any of the content you embed on your website using our technology. We only ever access your music upon request for technical support, but you will always maintain full ownership!
Does Embed work with WordPress?
Of course, the embed code is simple HTML, regardless of what the publishing platform is.
Do you offer implementation support?
Yes! We can offer you Embed customizations, code review, implementation support, etc. The cost of this kind of support is set based on the needs you have and the size of the work it would mean for us. If you have a request and want an estimate of the cost, please contact us at embed@flat.io.
