Operating in the affordable end of the automotive spectrum, an end of the pool historically favoured by Canadians more than our neighbours to the south, Kia Soul is a perennially popular seller around these parts. Minimum ground clearance is 6.7 inches which is more than expected for a machine of this stature. Helping matters is a curb weight under 3,000 pounds in some trims.
Kicking things off is the LX trim at a very agreeable $22,895 plus destination charges and other fees. The EX adds some heated surfaces and better lighting plus other features for $24,795 (appending a further $800 brings the EX+ with larger wheels and a sunroof). The EX Premium is a $27,495 proposition while the top rung GT-Line Limited is $29,795 meaning that we now live in a world where one can easily spend 30 grand on a small Kia counting all fees and taxes.
