prior to today, my DS220+ had a seagate exos 24TB (refurbed) running DSM 7.22-72806.
i was trying to stop a running package and the power went out. i think it corrupted the DSM partition.
anyways, after rebooting, the system tried to reinstall DSM and the latest was 7.3. i clicked ok as i'd installed DSM on number of new drives over the yrs.
BUT ... the update kept on getting stuck at 99%. took the disk out, purged it with windows "diskpart" tool.
tried the DSM install again and same thing ... stuck at 99%.
ok, thought maybe 7.3 was wonky, so tried installing the latest 7.2.2 .pat file. got an error that only 7.3 version is allowed. looking at the device info and found the "firmware" version on my NAS is now 7.3.
is it possible the 7.3 install failed because the exos 24TB isn't on the HDD compatibility list?
it seems the device firmware has locked me into 7.3. couldn't find any way to downgrade the firmware back to 7.2.
is my 220+ bricked until i can get a compatible drive to install DSM 7.3 onto?
any help appreciated!
