Kelly Osbourne reveals strange phobia which causes her to rip food from people's mouths

The 33-year-old reality star revealed her phobia was "another tick on her box of insanities"

Kelly Osbourne has revealed an odd phobia which has made her so frustrated, she has ripped food from people's mouths - that she doesn't even know.

The daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and X Factor judge Sharon has revealed a great deal about her personal life during her stint on Loose Women, including addressing her drug and alcohol addictions and feelings about relationships with her family and potential boyfriends.

But in today's debate she revealed a phobia which has made her so frustrated that she has to confiscate people's food - because of the sound it makes.

As the Loose Women panel discussed irritating habits that their husbands might have, she told Jane Moore: "I have misophonia, it's a phobia of mouth noises.

"I can't handle it."

Kelly revealed she can't bear the sound of loud eating, which is a problem for her dating as she as men often have "bigger mouths" than women.

She continued: "I've walked up to people I don't know and ripped the gum out of their mouth.

"It makes my knees buckle and makes me sweat. Don't ask, it's another tick on my box of insanities.

"I can't handle it, it drives me nuts."

Misophonia is technically a phobia of sounds in general, and is sometime referred to as "sound rage" as people become enraged just by noises which seem to rub them up the wrong way.

For Kelly, that is the sound of loud eaters, or as she refers to it, "nom nommers."

The debate came off the back of a Supreme Court decision which stopped a woman from divorcing her husband immediately in a no fault divorce, despite their "loveless marriage" of 40 years.

The court did not believe her reasons were sufficient to grant a divorce, and including arguments over the recycling and his "booming voice."

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
