I shared how we’re using MPP at Drip to let AI agents buy premium financial newsletters and podcasts as part of their investing workflows. Agents pay only for the research they need (no subscriptions!), while writers get paid behind the scenes. AND I got to demo this alongside some of the top builders working on agentic payments: Sam Ragsdale Rishin Sharma Louis Amira Kevin Leffew Browserbase Ken Wattana Jennifer Lee Brendan Ryan and more! At MPP IRL, Dan Romero, Patrick Collison, and I heard some spicy takes from builders across a range of companies, from Replit to Amazon to Visa (and many more!) on exactly that question. Attendees got hands-on with the Machine Payments Protocol and gave us direct feedback: Where are the biggest pain points today? Which use cases are most relevant right now? And what are we most likely getting wrong about how agents will buy and sell? Thank you to everyone who built with us and challenged our thinking. The agentic economy will be shaped by builders pressure-testing these systems in the real world.

Clay and I couldn't be more excited to welcome Aakash Thumaty and the entire Takeoff team. In less than a year, they've built something truly special: an agent platform that delivers real business outcomes, is beloved by customers, and is growing incredibly quickly. Their maniacal focus on revenue driving, long-horizon agents has taken them from 0 to near 8 figures in revenue across several 7 figure contracts since the start of this year. This week, Anthropic launched Claude for Life Sciences, its first real push to make AI part of how science gets done. Why this matters 👇 - Scientists spend hours each week buried in docs and data. Claude aims to give them that time back by summarizing literature, drafting protocols, and analyzing data. And with prebuilt connectors to Benchling, BioRender, and PubMed, it fits well into existing workflows. - Some researchers have been eager to use AI but hesitant to apply it without clear benchmarks. Claude’s most capable model, Sonnet 4.5, shows strong performance in lab protocol and bioinformatics tasks, making AI adoption in the field more credible and comfortable. - Anthropic also introduced Agent Skills, instructions that dictate how Claude tackles specific tasks. The first skill they’ve built performs single-cell RNA sequencing quality control using scverse best practices, a sign they’re prioritizing technical rigor. It's a strong step forward, but the rollout points to where pharma still is on the AI adoption curve. Instead of the self serve model offered to consumers, Anthropic is partnering with consulting firms like Deloitte, Accenture and KPMG to bring Claude to enterprise pharma. I can't help but wonder, if the goal is to meet scientists where they are, why would it take a consulting team to get started? 🤔 WDYT? A big milestone today for Grow Therapy, which just announced a $150M Series D led by TCV and Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, with BCI and Menlo Ventures joining Sequoia, Transformation Capital, and SignalFire. When we led Grow’s Series A in 2021, it was rooted in a belief that mental health access in the U.S. isn’t hindered by supply, it’s a systems problem. To win, Grow needed to be deeply integrated into the healthcare ecosystem, not operating as a point solution. In just 5 years, more than 2 million people have used Grow, with over 10 million therapy and medication management visits delivered on the platform. What stands out is the infrastructure the team has built: Grow now partners with 125+ health insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid across most states, reaching 220 million covered lives. At the same time, tools like its clinically-guided AI notetaker are reducing provider documentation time by nearly 70%, helping clinicians focus more on care. This is what durable healthtech looks like: deep payer integrations, measurable outcomes, and technology embedded directly into existing healthcare workflows. Excited to continue partnering with Jake Cooper, Manoj Kanagaraj, MD, Alan Ni, and the entire Grow team as they build trusted mental health infrastructure for insurers, employers, health systems, and most importantly, patients.

This morning, Axios broke the news that Arya Health has raised an oversubscribed $18.2M Series A. This capital is fuel for accelerating our mission of using AI to bring humanity back to healthcare delivered across homes, communities, and screens. In a world obsessed with AI, we wanted to remind everyone that behind every algorithm, there are still humans - the ones building it, and the ones it’s meant to help. So I asked my 9-year-old daughter Arya - the namesake behind the company - to help me tell the "human story" of why we exist. The story that somewhere along the way, we've made providers really busy with all the "chores" to be done around delivering distributed care. Forms. Portals. Calendars. Clicks. Text Reminders. Desperate phone calls. So busy that they don't have enough time-or resources-for what matters. Connecting deeply with those in need of care. And with those delivering care. We built Arya Health to fix that. Because the most urgent job for AI right now isn’t to become smarter than humans - it’s to make space for more humanity. And for that, it needs the best humans - the builders, dreamers, and doers who believe that technology should make people feel seen, not replaced.
