DreamHack Open Summer 2018Imperial defeat AGO; advance to DH Summer playoffs
Imperial have booked their spot in the DreamHack Open Summer playoffs, topping Group A with a 16-4 victory over AGO on Mirage.
The Group A winners' match kicked off on Mirage, where the Poles of AGO took the A-site with ease, but a triple-kill retake from Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas secured the pistol. Imperial went on to claim the following anti-ecos, with Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and EspiranTo putting in most of the work to make it 4-0.
AGO finally got on the board in the gun round, but Imperial replied with two in a row, resetting the Poles. Imperial then marched on giving AGO no room for error as EspiranTo continued his dominance on the AWP with an ace in the 9th round (8-1). AGO managed to string together a couple of rounds in the remainder of the first half, but Imperial stayed in the wheelhouse with a 12-3 lead at halftime.
On the T-side, Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend and his men continued their dominance by securing the second pistol and the following anti-ecos to reach match point. A full buy from AGO kept the team alive with their first of the half, but in the following round, nexa came out on top of a 1vs1 against Damian "Furlan" Kislowski to seal Imperial's 16-4 victory and secure a spot in the playoffs.
