ECS Season 4 Finals viewer's guide

As the kick-off date for the ECS Season 4 Finals draws near, we have prepared a viewer's guide which contains the groups, schedule, talent lineup and more.

The ECS Season 4 Finals will take place in Cancun, Mexico from December 15-17. The last big event of the year, it will feature four teams from North America and four from Europe, who will compete for their share of the $750,000 prize pool.

NiKo's FaZe will be in Cancun

The action will kick off with the group stage, featuring a GSL format. The opening and winners' matches will be best-of-ones, while the elimination and decider games will have a best-of-three format.

The groups are as follows:

The top two teams from both groups will advance to the best-of-three, single-elimination playoffs, which will run on Sunday, December 17.

Astralis really no chance using stand in. Even ifthey show up, you can't count a tournament with a stand in as a consistent result. So many upset possibilities: LG is now playing lans, and with the firepower of chelo they could get something good. Liquid now with steel, elige and twitz are already good fraggers imo, let's see how this plays out. Cloud9, after the roster moves I tough they would really improve but I'm not seeing very much of them. Hope they find good form. OpTic is very weird for me. All players are like "sometimes good, sometimes bad", now that mixwell is awping allu must be asking himself if this is what he wanted. FaZe, no doubt that they are good but if they want to show at least that they are top 2, they need to win this tournament. Fnatic is back to playing in stages, but they really need to keep up with consistent results. If they can get out of groups here, you could say that they're back in the game imo. Not much to say about mouse, after ESG I expect more from them but I'm not sure if this team can be also a consistent team.

If FNATIC has a good showing at the event, they could easily enter the the top 5. Especially since they have an easy group (hopefully no jinx) Norh aren't at the event, and they're just a few points away from Fnatic, just getting out of the groups would most likely be enough to pass them in the ranking. With a good showing (like getting to the final) they would most likely get to over 400 points and therefore pass G2 and C9 which is a top 5 for Fnatic. This would be a great ending of the year for Golden and the boys!

They will probably win their group but that doesn't make them top5 since none of the teams in their group is even top10, unless they win vs FaZe or win the tournament which is pretty unlikely since basically only C9 & FaZe and maybe fnatic or Astralis have a shot at winning this tournament
