Asia Minor group stage finalized

The PGL KeSPA Asia Minor's group stage has come to an end with both Australian and Chinese teams making it through to the double-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.

The first day in Seoul, South Korea, has seen the entirity of groups played out, starting with best-of-one's in the initial round and losers' matches.

Both best-of-one rounds of the group stage was played out in a very one-sided fashion—while not much was expected from either of the Korean teams, both of whom went out in last place, Immunity made light work of VG.CyberZen in a 16-2 match on Train.

VG.CyberZen will try to tackle rivals TyLoo once again

The MongolZ's and the aforementioned Australians' winners' match of Group A ended up going down to the wire, with the former taking Dust2 quite comfortably before Immunity won both Cache and Overpass in overtimes.

Renegades then took on TYLOO, who were widely considered the favourites of Group B, on Mirage and Overpass.

Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill's team proved to be quite hard to finish off on map one despite a big lead from the Chinese, but map two was the most one-sided encounter so far at the Minor, as Renegades fell to the decider after only getting one round.

Despite The MongolZ looking much better up against Immunity than VG.CyberZen, the latter was able to advance from second place in Group A after two double-digit mapsTrain and Cache.

In the last match of the day, as well as the group stage, Risky took on Renegades on Cobblestone and Mirage for the last spot in the playoffs.

The Australian squad was happy to run away with nine rounds as CT and a strong Terrorist-side showing on Cobble, but Mirage wasn't quite as convincing as the United Arab Emirates side was able to take their opponents to the maximum.

That means we will see two domestic match-ups in the upper bracket semi-finals, starting with the rivals VG.CyberZen and TYLOO at 05:30 .

You can head over to the viewer's guide for tomorrow's schedule and to the preview if you'd like to know more about the four remaining teams.

Honestly I think 3rd place in group is a reasonable result for them. They made too many nonsense actions during the games. They could beat some teams who are not stable enough the prevent mistakes. But when facing any proper good teams...TheMongolz have not chance.
