The Embassy's area of jurisdiction, apart from India, includes Australia, Nepal, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The Embassy's mission is to strengthen and promote political, economic and cultural relations between Iceland and these countries. The Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi was formally opened in 2006.
