A yellow iris, in our yard. They come back from underground every year, or most of them do. Beautiful complex flowers.

I am pleased to be curator of a Gallery of fine photos of iris flowers, by other photographers. You are invited to visit it.

Thanks for looking! Isn't God a great artist?

Yellow Warbler - Setophaga petechia

John Heinz NWR is the yellow warbler capital of the world right now. Spotted at least a dozen and likely heard fifty more. In the three years that I have been chasing birds, this is my first decent photo of a yellow warbler. Feel free to view large (L).

Spring rapeseed painting the land with it's golden brush, this evening. Love Spring, love Somerset <3 x #SignsOfSpring

'Yellow is spring, daffodils, sweeping fields of rapeseed blossom;

yellow is the warmth of the sun, the secrets of the moon;

yellow is gooey egg custard and bittersweet lemon;

yellow is sparkling and bright and joyous and peaceful.......

yellow is HOPE for the future!'

Tip of a ballpoint pen on a yellow plastic folder

This beautiful yellow rose truly captures the essence of this color... friendship, joy and caring.

So awesome and it gets driven hard whatever the weather!

Not much time today, so here is one I took a while ago and now reposted. Most of you wont have seen it :o)

BTW, a big tip to stop Tulips drooping. Take a pin and push it through the stem where the flower head joins the stem (take pin out of course!). It may take overnight but the stems go straight again!!

Hoverfly (I think)...

Left the 50mm at home and brought the 40mm macro lens with me today.
