Film Producer, Author. She is best remembered for being the first woman to win an Academy Award as a film producer an award shared by her and Tony Bill for the movie "The Sting" (1973). She also produced "Taxi Driver" (1976), which was nominated for Best Picture and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977). As an author, she wrote the best-selling autobiography chronicle ''You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again" (1991) about her experiences in Hollywood, followed by "Driving Under Affluence" (1995).
