De Gruyter Book Archive – Sensitive Content
The De Gruyter Book Archive provides sources for historical and disciplinary research that need to be viewed within their historical context. From 1933 to 1945, De Gruyter published some works that, due to their political-ideological orientation, are not actively marketed by us – neither individually nor as part of collections, in print or digitally. However, as a publishing house, we do not believe in censorship, therefore these titles are available for research and scholarly purposes upon request. Titles containing material of a sensitive nature are clearly identified on the relevant product pages.
Individual customers cannot purchase these specially marked titles but should contact a library or research institution to request access. The institution is then required to submit a usage request to sensitive-content@degruyter.com. Our staff will review the request. Approval can only be granted if the interest in the title is academically justified and tied to specific research objectives.
If you come across any titles in our program that you find concerning, please report them to sensitive-content@degruyter.com. We will promptly review your concern.
