Our travel seminars are so much more than journeys

Our 2026 travel seminars reflect Crow Canyon’s endeavor to create transformative, immersive learning experiences that deepen understanding of cultural heritage, living histories, and ancestral landscapes. Whether hiking storied landscapes, learning directly from knowledge keepers, or engaging in dialogue that embraces multiple truths, you’ll find these to be more than journeys—they are opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth.

Our Mission

Crow Canyon’s mission is to empower present and future generations by making the human past accessible and relevant through archaeological research, experiential education, and American Indian knowledge.

The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center acknowledges the Pueblo, Ute, Diné (Navajo), Jicarilla Apache, and Paiute people on whose traditional homelands this institution sits.

Why Crow Canyon

Crow Canyon was founded on the idea that members of the public can play an important role in scientific research.

We believe…

The study of the human past is an intrinsically worthwhile endeavor that creates more informed and sustainable societies.

Archaeology can provide the next generation of leaders the intellectual tools to explore the world and think critically.

An experiential educational environment encourages students to actively participate in the learning process through hands-on activities and group discussion.

There are many ways of knowing the past and this is best presented through multivocal education.
