Domenico A. "DeNucci" Nucciarone

New Sewickley Twp - Domenico A. "DeNucci" Nucciarone, 89, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away August 12, 2021 at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Twp. Born January 23, 1932 in Frosolone, Italy, he was the son of the late Luigi and Incoronata Celluare Nucciarone. He was a retired Professional Wrestler and also retired after 20 years of service with the New York Times as a paper carrier. He was Catholic by faith. He owned and operated the Domenic DeNucci Wrestling Training Professional School, was inducted in 2012 into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, wrestled with WWWF from 1969 and continued into the WWF into 1983. He was part of the World Championship Wrestling where he was in World Competition from 1964 – 1978 in Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and other countries as well as Canada and the United States. He also organized wrestling tours from 1984 – 1988.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeneane Spray DeNucci Nucciarone in 2017. He was also preceded in death by an infant son; two sisters, and a brother in law, Laura Nucciarone and her husband, Francesco DiMaria and Vittoria Nucciarone; two brothers and a sister in law, Antonia Nucciarone, and Nicola Nucciarone and his wife, Filomena.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Danielle R. and George Kassell, Freedom; two sisters and brothers in law, Maria Angela Nucciarone, and Pietro DiMaria, Italy and Teresa Nucciarone and Giovanni Tasillo, Montreal, Quebec; one brother, Filippo Nucciarone, Montreal, Quebec; a sister in law, Concetta Nucciarone, Italy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 2 pm to 6 pm in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester where a service will be held Tuesday at 6:15 PM, Fr. Michael Greb to officiate. A private entombment will take place Wednesday.
