Basically, some features of dogging depend on undocumented functions of CPython and internal objects that are not specified in the language specification, but are documented in CPython's documentation and may be different in other implementations.
This will probably be more relevant (and easy) after tests are added to the repository.
For now, dogging is assumed to only work in CPython.
