Botswana: Construction Company Extends Helping Hand

Serowe — Grand Millinium Investment Construction Company has donated 300 bags of millie meal and 100 bags of sorghum meal to the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Handing over the donation yesterday, manager of the Serowe-based company, Ms Senyana Ramaribana said the donation was intended to assist members of the community who were rendered vulnerable as a result of the current extreme social distancing arrangement.

They also said the donations were in response to the appeal by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi for people to support those in need.

Serowe Administrative Authority (SAA) receives donations from the business community, individuals and non-governmental organisations towards the COVID-19 Relief Fund in the Central District.

Receiving the donation, Serowe Sub-district Council chairperson, Mr Lesedi Phuthego thanked everyone who contributed to the fund.

He applauded their kindness, acknowledging that government would not contain the pandemic alone.
