President Muhammadu Buhari has presented a record U.S.$33.8 billion draft budget to lawmakers. Buhari said the 2020 budget - which represents at 13% increase over the previous year - is based on the proposed new VAT rate. Increased revenues will be used to fund education, health, and infrastructure.
