Clague Middle School has recently been designated as a "School to Watch"
by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform!
To achieve Schools to Watch designation, a middle school must demonstrate that it has met the following criteria:
"Clague Middle School is a wonderful place for middle grade youth to grow, learn, and explore. Students are happy and behave as learners. The climate of caring is obvious from the moment the students enter the building. Students are set-up for success with supports, prompts and encouragement. Classrooms had clear learning objectives. The building is spacious providing ample space for special needs. Minimal class time is spent dealing with discipline issues and everyone understands that there is a focus on learning." --Quote from Schools to Watch report
Students, if you or someone you know is being bullied or harassed you can send a confidential email to claguehelp@gmail.com. All reports will be kept confidential, be investigated and taken seriously.

"STAND"
This year, STAND, the Clague recycling team, will continue to recycle in the cafeteria. Every day after lunch, STAND volunteers sort recyclable items out of the trash. You can help by rememberingto recycle items such as empty bottles and cans instead of throwing them away. If you are a 6th or 7th grader interested in volunteering, please meet today by the cafeteria drinking fountain when your grade goes outside after lunch.
As many of you know, STAND volunteers sort recyclables out of the trash and into the recycling bins every day after lunch.
We Compost@Clague
There are two compost bins in the cafereria where you can put any fruit and vegetable scraps leftover from lunch.
