President Edgar Lungu says perceptions by some sections that the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church is pro-opposition United Party National Development (UPND) and the Catholic Church for the Patriotic Front(PF) Party are false.
President Lungu said citizens were free to support any church as long as it was sincere and did not take any political sides.
He said the establishment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and National Guidance was meant to facilitate for easy interface between the Church and the Government.
