Ghana: Foga Nukunu to Contest NDC Ketu South Parliamentary Primaries

Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Youth Organiser for the Duta Electoral Area, Foga Nukunu, has announced his intention to contest in the party's upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Ketu South constituency of the Volta Region.

The primaries are expected to take place across all 275 constituencies in the country on August 24, this year.

Making known his intention in a statement yesterday, he stated that "I am of the strongest conviction that I will be the perfect choice of the party because my choice will encourage branch executives and the grassroots to work harder for the party."

"If you choose me," Mr Nukunu continued, " I am certain I will push a lot of party members and the general public to come out and vote in the general elections. I will be the ideal man to organise members to win power for the NDC in that area."

Apart from serving as the elected Assembly member for his electoral area, he disclosed that he served the NDC as a branch secretary, constituency youth organiser and constituency secretary, as well as a registration, polling and counting agent of the party for years.

A professional at Keta Senior High School, Mr Nukunu is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon.

He started his early education at Akporkploe Primary School and continued at Huime Agordome and St Paul's Senior High School in Hatsukorpe.
