allAfrica's Juanita Williams was in Moscow for the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) meetings - one of the preludes to the October 24 Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi, co-chaired by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who also heads the African Union.
She spoke with Afreximbank's Chief Economist and Director of Research and International Cooperation Dr Hippolyte Fofack about why Russia was chosen to host the bank's meetings and how Africa is "coming back after centuries of slavery and colonisation".
