The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has a new managing director Daniel Manduku.
Mr Manduku was appointed the KPA boss on Thursday by Transport CS James Macharia who had appointed him in May as the acting MD.

INEFFICIENCY
He takes over from Ms Catherine Mturi-Wairi, who according to the KPA board, was ousted because of inefficiency and cargo clearance delays at the port.
Ms Wairi moved to court to challenge the appointment of Mr Manduku.
However, the High Court allowed Mr Manduku to go on serving in an acting capacity as the case went on.
RESIGNATION
Ms Wairi would later resign from her position, which she served for a total of 25 years.
On Thursday, Mr Manduku said that KPA had undergone major transformations under his management which include addressing the delays problem at the port.
"I'm contented that things will improve from where we are now and by next year we want to have zero delays at the port," he said, adding that he was grateful that the Transport CS has entrusted him with serving at the port.
