TICKET SALES during the Manny Pacquiao-Jorge Solis bout at the Alamodome in San Antonio was the second largest in the city and the third biggest event in Texas boxing history.
This was revealed by John Whisler in his column published at the San Antonio Express News Sunday. He said ticket sales reached a shade below $ 1.3 million.
Whisler also wrote that only the 1993 fight between Julio Cesar Chavez and Pernell Whitaker and the 1999 duel between Oscar De La Hoya and Patrick Charpentier in the border town of El Paso were the only ones to surpass the Pacquiao headliner.
