Sudan: Eulogy

Former Sudanese President Suwar Al-Dahab

Khartoum — The Presidency of the Republic eulogized Field Marshal Abdul-Rahman Mohamed Hassan Suwar al-Dahab who passed away at Military Hospital in Riyadh , Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Thursday and he will be buried in Medina.

The late Suwar-al-Dahab had great national and Islamic contributions.

He diligently served his homeland and people, defended integrity of territory and sovereignty of his country and effectively participated in processes of peace and national accord through national dialogue conferences and national dialogue document for realization of peace and security in the country.

The contributions of the late Field Marshal Suwar al-Dahab extended to embrace Arab and Islamic nations by leading daawa and voluntary works through the Islamic Daawa Organization which is operating in different parts of the world.

The late Field Marshal Suwar al-Dahab was born in 1935 in Omdurman city and moved with his father to Al-Obied town , capitla of North Kordofan State , joined the War Collage and graduated as an officer in 1955,a year before independence of Sudan and he received a high military studies in in Britain, United States , Egypt and Jordan.
