Nairobi — Top Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) officials led by Managing Director Joe Sang, Board Director John Ngumi, alongside five others have been summoned to record statements, over the Sh1.7 billion Kisumu oil jetty scandal.
The summons seen by Capital FM News show that some of the officials will start recording statements Thursday morning over the scandal.
"They should report to the undersigned on the dates and time indicated at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters along Kiambu road, block B 2nd floor, room 82 without fail," a statement from the DCI said.
The Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti stated that they want to establish how the project was arrived at and how money allocated to it was spent.
Other officials summoned are Major Neepe Itasayon (Chair, Board Technical Committee), Faith Boinett (Former Chair, Board Finance Committee), Jerry Simu (Former Chair, Board Audit), as well as the managers of the Infrastructure and Finance departments.
The Manager, Department of Infrastructure, is expected to appear at the DCI headquarters on Kiambu road on Thursday at 10am while his Finance counterpart will appear at 2:30pm.
