Uganda: Much-Maligned Bebe Cool Forced to Take Music Break

It appears Ugandan dancehall star and legislator Bobi Wine, who is currently receiving treatment in the US, has forced his longtime nemesis Bebe Cool to take a music break.

Now Bebe Cool, who is also a former member of East African Bashment Crew consisting of Kenyans Wyre and Lady Nazizi has announced that he will be taking a music break for an undisclosed period of time for the sake of his family.

vtfr5"For the last few weeks, I had chosen silence as a means to exercise my tolerance for the political events that are currently transpiring in the country. Unfortunately while at a performance last Friday I was pelted with bottles and stones by a group of people purportedly because I do not subscribe to their political beliefs," read part of his long post on social media.

"For the safety of myself, family and friend and fans, I regrettably would like to announce that I will not be making any public performances until further notice," he went on.

After being jeered off stage for the second time during an event at the Swagz All Star Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, Bebe, who is strong supporter of President Yoweri Museveni, accused his nemesis of faking his injuries so as to draw public sympathy.
