Zimbabwe: Carlos Green Hosts Muridzo At Bar Rouge

Musician Carlos Green has received a boost to push his green career after getting a permanent slot at Bar Rouge where he performs every Thursday.

Tonight he has invited Andy Muridzo to grace the show at Bar Rouge. The two have collaborated on songs "Ndidaire" and "Zvipande", which strengthened their relationship.

At his recent slots at the joint, Carlos Green attracted big spenders that seemed to outdo each other in making food and beverage orders.

Carlos Green is known for hanging around with the 'who--is--who' in the capital and most of his moneyed associates support him at his shows.

The musician said the slot at Bar Rouge will help him to build a good fan base.

"I have committed followers that always attend my shows. Previously we were going from one venue to another and we did not have a home for our music. The slot at Bar Rouge comes at a time when I am working to expand my fan base and I am happy that we have done well at previous shows," said Carlos Green.

"The permanent slot means that people that want to check our performances will know where to find us every Thursday. The response we have received so far is encouraging and I can foresee a good weekly show."

Bar Rouge manager Spencer Sahumani said they initially doubted Carlos Green's capacity to attract followers, but they now have a different view.

"The good thing about Carlos Green is that he has mature followers that love to spoil themselves and their friends in an exceptional way. It makes the show unique. The crowd has been steadily growing with each Thursday slot and we hope it will get bigger," said Sahumani.
