East Africa: KLM to Solve Airline Operation Problems With IOT, Intelligent Asset Management

Inseego, an industry leader in solutions for mobile enterprises, will expand the global deployment of its intelligent ground support equipment (GSE) asset management solutions for KLM Equipment Services (KES) and its airline customers.

This subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and their customers (such as an air service provider at Hong Kong International airport) have realized substantial benefits from the Ctrack asset tracking and fleet management technology and will combine its expertise with Inseego's to enhance operations across a wider base of aviation clients. Together, Inseego and KES and will team up to develop new specialized management services and features for the global commercial aviation market.

"Expanding our strategic partnership with KLM Equipment Services will bring tangible benefits to more airline customers with more powerful, user-friendly asset management systems, leveraging the world's best in IoT technology and intelligent cloud software, heightened by the deep industry operational knowledge and experience from KES," said Chris Lytle, EVP of Enterprise SaaS Solutions at Inseego. "The current success of the Ctrack system in Amsterdam and Hong Kong is reflective of our combined ability to solve challenging problems that are unique to aviation ground operations. Together with KES, we look forward to enhancing operations with many more airlines across the globe."

Global Strategic Partnership Targets Airline Operation Challenges with IoT and Cloud Solution Innovation

Many airlines have not leveraged the benefits of IoT technology and platforms to significantly decrease the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of their GSE fleets. The powerful combination of Inseego and KES takes advantage of deep operational expertise and world-leading IoT-to-cloud software asset management solutions that enables airlines to maximize ground equipment efficiency, asset visibility and cost optimizations.

Inseego's Ctrack intelligent Aviation Asset Tracking platform is a user-friendly IoT device-to-cloud management solution that includes tools for asset usage, condition, maintenance schedules and automatic billing for multiple users. The Ctrack platform provides real-time actionable data for analysis by airlines and GSE operators, ultimately driving maximum customer ROI.

Inseego has deployed aviation asset management solutions for ground support equipment at multiple airports worldwide - including new prominent wins with two of the largest global airlines.

"We are pleased to combine forces with Inseego to improve our ability to serve existing and new customers with exact asset/fleet status," said John Engelaan, managing director of KES. "Inseego has a rich history of deploying fleet management solutions and has quickly become the global standard in aviation. We look forward to delivering unparalleled value to our current and new customers through an integrated solution."

To succeed in the digital era, businesses have to stretch their boundaries. This requires rethinking their business model, deciding how to transform into digital businesses and making the right technology investments to become digital leaders.

Businesses can no longer afford to be laggards in adopting new technologies or in how software applications are implemented. Adopting AI strategies can spur growth, shape new markets and reach new customers.

To facilitate and contribute to this transformation, we are hosting the IoT and AI Summit 2018 which takes place in Nairobi, Kenya.

Who should attend:

This conference has been conceptualized as a knowledge sharing and networking platform for CIOs, CMOs, CTOs and Chief Digital Officers, senior innovation heads, digital, product development and customer experience leaders to interact with IoT, Big Data, AI and other technology thought leaders and solutions providers which will enable retailers to deliver the right retail experience at the right time to customers to inspire lifelong brand loyalty and become efficient and more profitable.
