Holy Word Embassy International Ministries leader Prophet Shepherd said those behind the White City Stadium bombing that claimed two lives and injured 47 were the enemies of the people and will not succeed in their mission.

Speaking during a crusade attended by multitudes of his followers at Chipadze High School last weekend, Prophet Shepherd said: "As you are aware, there was an attempt on the life of President Mnangagwa recently at White City Stadium.

"I say to him, the Lord is with you. No matter how hard they might fight you, they will not succeed because the Lord will deliver you. In Jeremiah 1 verse 19, the Word of God says they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee saith the Lord, to deliver thee."

He said President Mnangagwa was prepared to deliver the country to a new dawn.

He added that the President was chosen by God to bring the change that people were clamouring for and people could say whatever they wanted, but said God is with President Mnangagwa.

He said, they might plan what they wanted, but success comes from God. Among those injured during the rally were Vice-President Kembo Mohadi, Minister of Environment, Water and Climate Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri and Vice President Constantino Chiwenga's wife, Marry.
