Microsoft Edge is the faster, safer browser designed for Windows 10. Upgrading web apps to modern standards is the best long-term strategy, but Internet Explorer 11 is supported for the life of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 — so you can migrate to Windows 10 now and upgrade apps on your own schedule. Use Microsoft Edge as the default browser for your organization, and fall back to Internet Explorer 11 only for approved sites that need backward compatibility.
