Linux Options

A number of Linux projects have developed that include Apache configuration modules. These all require a Linux system to run - (BUT that is what you are running Apache on, isn't it ??)
  1. Redhat Linux
RedHat 5,1 now includes both LinuxConf and Comanche (0.4a - we have 0.6a here)

They have a Apache configuration module in their Control Panel X based interface. It's found at: /usr/lib/rhs/apachecfg/apache.py and is in rpm: apachecfg-0.3.1-6.noarch.rpm (for Redhat 5.0)

  2. LinuxConfig Project
Esp, interesting because it has all forms of interface, True GUI, terminal character menu, Web and command line. Enabling the Apache module can be tricky, this is how you do it

  3. WebMin
A semi-commercial WebBased GUI - free for now, you'll have to read the license for yourself.

On initial look, webmin-0.51 is a fairly nice package to allow web based configuration of Apache.

Commercial Options

I have mixed feeling about listing these, but hey, everyone has to make a living, and I've sold my share (or a bit more) of software in my time so here are NON-free options.
  1. ApacheConf
  2. StrongHold SSL Apache (It has a web based interface)
  3. Tenon WebTen Apache for the Mac (It has a web based interface)
