Code page 1363, also known by Microsoft Windows as Code Page 949, is Microsoft's implementation that appears similar to EUC-KR. This code page supports the Korean language. The code page is not registered with IANA,[1] and hence, is not a standard to communicate information over the Internet, although it's often used for that. UTF-8 is much preferred for compatibility.
