CopperheadOS is a source-available operating system for smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is developed as open-source software based on the official releases of Android by Google, with added security features. Supported devices are currently limited to the Google Nexus line.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

In August 2016, CopperheadOS announced future versions of the operating system, based on Android Nougat, would be released under a no-commercial-usage license until more funding could be acquired.[4]
