II. Technique: Passive Thigh Hyperextension

  1. Patient lies supine
  2. Fix Lumbar Spine against table (eliminates lordosis)
    1. Patient flexes hip and knee on affected side
    2. Patient holds knee with both hands
  3. Examiner hyperextends opposite thigh over side of table

III. Interpretation: Positive Test

  1. Pain on thigh hyperextension suggests sacroiliitis
