Kesha (mostly noted as
Ke$ha) was born Kesha Sebert on March 1, 1987 in
California and raised in Tennessee. In her teens,
Kesha began to pursue her music and dropped out
of high school to move to LA. Between moving to
LA and releasing her debut LP, Kesha had snuck
into Prince's home and left a demo
tape, sang background for a Britney Spears and Paris Hilton song,
co-wrote a track for The Veronicas,
and appeared in a Katy Perry video. But her biggest
break came with the uncredited appearance on the
Flo Rida's #1 hit "Right Round." Kesha then signed with RCA
Records and focused on releasing her debut LP.
Kesha's reputation was summed up by Rolling
Stone describing her as "...here to let
the world know that loutish drunkenness and
sexual harassment aren't just for fellas
anymore."

Kesha appeared uncredited on Flo Rida's #1 hit "Right Round."


Kesha hit the Top 40 with "Tik Tok".
"Tik Tok" went on to top the
charts in New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and Norway.

Kesha hit the Top 10 with "Tik Tok."


Kesha released her debut LP Animal.
Kesha hit #1 for 8 weeks on the ARC
Weekly Top 40 with "Tik Tok."
