I think its still a good idea. We don't have any complicated workflows on LSG anyway. Just my 2¢.

The messages missing documentation are also empty. They are intended to be used as icons (☎, ✉ etc.) in the <abbr> element.
While unicode characters exist for fax and email, tollfree will be a problem. Also, we have standard icons now

The recent change that uses a separate button has the problem of not knowing how wide the widget would be (I am not sure if that was the case earlier too).

Percentage values

The global disablePopups functions from NavigationPopups got scoped to pg.fn.disabledPopups at some point. We were relying on that function to both detect and disable the gadget.

I think the regular upload widget is a bit lacking in this area too, it should a clearly clickable primary action (i.e. a button), but something that looks like a text widget is the next best thing.
