Cavium' products for SSL applications include three NITROX product families of security processors, comprising over 20 different parts that provide an unmatched set of price, performance and power options. Performance for the NITROX products spans from 50Mbps to over 10Gbps in encryption bandwidth with 1K to 50K RSA operations per second. Both look-aside processors and in-line processors are available with support for PCI, PCI-X, HyperTransport, SPI3 and SPI4.2 interfaces.
Cavium unique macro-processing APIs for SSL significantly reduce PCI bus bandwidth utilization by up to 80% compared to alternatives and maximize CPU offload. A broad range of SSL open-source and commercial software stacks optimized to use Cavium macro-processing APIs are available to enable fast time to market. Support for a wide selection of operating systems, including Linux, FreeBSD, Windows and Vxworks is also provided along with portable drivers to integrate into proprietary OS environments.
