GUIDELINE FOR POST "FLAIR TAGS"

When making a new post here at RAoM, please make sure to use the correct flair tag. After you submit a post, you will see a notification under your post that says "PLEASE CHOOSE A FLAIR TAG FOR THIS POST". Click on the option that says "flair" shown here and find the tag that best suits your post. Click on the one you want to use and then hit save.

- Under no circumstances should you make up your own flair tag. -

If you are using AlienBlue or another mobile app that doesn't give the flair option, please choose one of the flairs and add it to the BEGINNING of your post title in brackets. If you do this then AutoModerator will tag your post for you after you have submitted it. For example, if you wanted to make a post thanking someone for a glam and using the "Thanks" tag then you would title your post "[Thanks] yada yada yada!" It's very important that your tag is in brackets and at the beginning of the title.

RAoM Flair Tags.

Advice - Use this tag if you're wanting to ask for help or advice on beauty related issues and questions. NOTE: Advice must be text posts only, any Advice posts using a link/picture will be removed. You may link to photos from Imgur in the body text of the post.

Battlestation - Use this tag if you are posting a picture of your battlestation.

B&A - Use this tag if you're posting a before and after.

Collection - Use this tag if you are posting pictures of your collection.

Contest - Use this tag if you are running a contest. NOTE: Contests must be text only post. Please post any relevant links/ verification pictures in the body of your post. Any Contests linking just to pictures or outside links will be removed.

Discussion - Use this tag if you'd like to post a general makeup-related discussion. Good discussion posts pose meaningful questions. Just asking "What do you think about x?" will not foster discussion in the same way a series of specific questions will. NOTE: To maintain the integrity of the [Discussions] tag, all [Discussions] must be a text only. You are welcome to provide any relevant links/pictures in the body of your post, but any [Discussions] that are just links/pictures will be removed.

FOTD/FOTN or EOTD/EOTN - Use these tags if you're posting your face or eye of the day.

Glammed - Use this tag to post verification when you have glammed someone, please remember to erase or black-out personal information.

Intro - Use this tag if you're new to RAoM and making your introduction post. Tell us about yourself! This is how we keep track of how long you've been a member (for badges) and is often a requirement to participate in contests. Because the Intro flair tag is to be used only by new members we ask those who have been away for a while to limit "re-introductions" to FoTDs and similar posts or post in the Weekly Share thread. Members who have switched accounts must reach out to the mods prior to participating on their new account. Please do not delete your original Intro.] NOTE: Intros must be a text, please link any relative links/pictures in the body of your post. Any Intros using just a link/picture will be removed.

Haul - Use this tag if you are posting a haul picture or post.

NOTD/NOTW - Use this tag if you are posting your nails of the day or nails of the week.

PSA - Use this tag if you have makeup-related information or news that you want to share with the community (ex: PSA Target now carries NYX). Links to articles, blog posts, or videos are discouraged and may be removed per mod discretion. Information about sales should be posted using the Sale tag.

Reminder - Use this tag if you are posting a reminder that your contest or giveaway is ending soon.

Review - Use this tag when reviewing a product. The review must be your own original content (please see the rules re: personal links/image hosting).

Sale - Use this tag if you'd like to alert everyone of a good sale. Please do not post single-use codes or offer to PM members codes or referral links-- this tag is for public sales only.

Swatches - Use this tag if you are posting swatches.

Thanks - Use this tag if you are thanking someone for glamming you after your glam has arrived.

Tutorial - Use this tag if you are posting a tutorial. (Tutorials must be your own content. Please see the rules re: personal links/image hosting)

Vote - Use this tag if you would like members to vote on contest entries.

Winner(s) - Use this tag when announcing the winner(s) of your contest or giveaway.

Text-Only Posts

We have designated 5 tags as "text-only" which means when you create a post with this tag it must not be a direct link to a website, blog, YouTube video, etsy shop, imgur album, etc. This allows you to provide some background information, your thoughts, questions, comments or concerns in one central location versus adding it in the comments where it might be overlooked. You can still provide any relevant links in the body of your post! Please be advised that any photo/link posts using the tags specified below will be removed from the sub.

Special/Seasonal Tags

Halloween Look - Use this tag if you are posting a makeup look for a Halloween costume.

Christmas in July - Use this tag when posting anything related to our annual "Christmas in July" themed exchange.

Secret Cupid - Use this tag when posting anything related to our "Valentine's Day" themed exchange.

Secret Ghoul - Use this tag when posting anything related to our annual "Halloween" themed exchange.

Moderator Tags

These are flair tags which are only to be used by moderators.

Announcement - Sub-wide mod-posted announcements, rule updates, guidelines, etc! Please read announcements carefully :-)

Happy Birthday - The post by a mod listing active members' upcoming birthdays!

Vent - The weekly thread posted by a mod where members can comment to vent about ANYTHING!

Share - The weekly thread posted by a mod where members can comment to share about ANYTHING!

Weekly Sales- The weekly thread posted by a mod where members can comment about all of the sales happening that week!

Holy Grail List- The weekly thread dedicated to a different beauty item where members can recommend their pick.

NOTE:

If you do not add a flair tag to your post a moderator will remove it and ask you to add a tag (if a moderator is online it will be removed after 5 minutes without a tag or after that as soon as a mod sees it). If you change an existing tag or try to create your own tag, the post will be removed and you will be asked to fix the tag or modify the post. Please keep in mind that if your post does not seem to fit one of our tags that it may not be appropriate for RAoM. As always, feel free to message the moderators if you're unsure of what tag to use or if you have any other questions!
