RAoM RULES

Please read all of RAoM's rules carefully. If you break a rule, you will get a warning. If you receive three warnings, you will be temporarily or permanently banned depending on the situation. These rules apply here at RAoM and at RAoM's tinychat. For chatroom rules, please visit the chat rules wiki.

GENERAL RULES

1) No begging or glam phishing whatsoever.

2) No drama. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

3) Please do not make posts or comments in reference to downvotes. We are very sorry if you, or another member, are experiencing them, but any post or comment regarding downvotes will be removed.

4) Under no circumstance should you ask someone how much money they make or how they can afford things. This is rude and makes people uncomfortable.

5) RAoM is open to all ages. Please keep content appropriate and not overly explicit.

6) Please only provide constructive criticism if the OP requests CCW (constructive criticism welcome). Do not ask if CC is okay or offer CC if it is not explicitly asked for by the OP. OPs who want CC need to put “CCW” or a clear variation allowing CC in the post title or a comment.

7) Please use the appropriate flair tag when making a post. Any unflaired posts will be removed without warning if flair is not added within 5 minutes of posting.

8) Personal flair text is for wishlist links only. Any alternate text or short-links (eg: tinyurl, goo.gl, bitly, etc) are not allowed in the flair area.

9) Haul posts should include only cosmetic items. Please leave out items not relevant to the sub.

10) Do not share your own or ask for anyone's social media handles in any form other than in a private message. Please do not create lists, or ask in any public forums. Also do not link pictures or any other posts from your facebook/instagram/twitter, etc. and do not link to these places in the comments of a post. Posting or linking to other members' pictures outside the sub is not allowed without their permission.

11) Self-promotion is allowed, within reason.

• No use of referral links is allowed, please do not post referral links within your post or in any comments.

• No linking to your blog, YouTube channel, etsy shop as a post. You may use watermarked images from your blog separately linked (URLs from Imgur, not from your blog). Links to your blog/YouTube channel/makeup-related etsy shop/etc are only allowed in the comments of your own post per mod approval. This does not mean you should share every time you have a new video/blog post; /r/beautyblogs would be a better subreddit for that. You will lose the privilege of sharing your blog/etsy shop if you add it too often (this is up to mod discretion). Essentially we want to encourage participation and discussion without fostering posts purely for page views.

• You can also advise people that your blog is listed on the blogger list.

12) No posts announcing other subreddits, however, we will be happy to add it to the list of related subreddits if you message the mods.

13) Please remember to post a [Thank You] when you are glammed or receive a [Contest]/[Giveaway] prize.

14) Members are only allowed 1 account. If you should have to switch accounts you must message the moderators with your previous and current screen-name. This ensure your badges are transferred. If at all possible, please do not delete your original intro as it will be used when claiming additional milestone badges.

15) Please do not share photos featuring the faces of other people. Only RAoM members are permitted to be featured posts. The only exception would be when a contest/giveaway requires a non-op photo to enter. In this case, only post pictures as a comment reply, do not post on the sub-reddit.

16) All venting/ranting should be posted in the weekly vent post made by the mods. Any vent/rant posts will be spammed. Also, any sad themes in posts (including: not feeling well, medical problems or ailments of any kind, anything about money, personal strife, etc) will be removed and the mods will ask you to modify your post or create a new one minus the sad stuff.

RULES FOR GLAMMING

1) No mystery glamming. Usernames of the giftee MUST be included in the "Glammed" post title.

2) Provide screenshots with the order number clearly visible. If you can't make a screenshot, include the order number in your post. If you are mailing a glam, please include a picture of your receipt that shows the tracking number.

3) Block out any personal information including first and last names, city, state, and zip code in any screenshots and pictures.

4) If you receive a glam, make a [Thanks] post. Someone was generous and sent you a gift and they deserve to be thanked, so posting a [Thanks] is now mandatory. If you glam someone and they haven't posted a thank you but you know they have received it, please message the mods.

RULES FOR CONTESTS

1) Contests requiring participants to pay for shipping, purchase an item, glam someone, etc. or cross posted (xposted) from other subreddits or other websites are not permitted.

2) Three posts must be made in the course of a contest in this order: 1. [Contest] - announces the contest and provides necessary information (detailed below); 2. [Winner(s)] - announces the winner(s), must include name of contest in post title; 3. [Glammed] - announces that the prize(s) has(have) been sent out with image verification posted or sent to mods, must also include name of contest in post title.

3) Contest hosts must have their lips badge (proof of a previous successful glam) to host a contest. Any contests found hosted by users without their lips badge will be removed.

For HOSTS:

1) Posts must include:

• What the prize is. If it is an item you are sending, you must include a picture with your username for verification. If you want the prize to be a surprise, send the verification picture to the mods.
• How many winner(s) there will be.
• How the winner will be chosen (picture submission, riddle, etc). The method for choosing a winner must be disclosed within the body of the post. Do not ask for suggestions on how to pick a winner in your post.
• Where you are willing to send the gift. AUS? CAN? US? UK? International?
• When the contest ends. (if you need to extend the end date of a contest please first message the mods)

2) A [Winner(s)] thread with winner name(s) must be posted within 24 hours of the contest ending. THIS IS REQUIRED. If you enter a contest and notice a [Winner(s)] post hasn't been made by the contest holder after the date they said it would end, please message the mods.

3) A [Glammed] thread must be posted within 7 days of contest closing or host may be banned. Message the mods if there are any difficulties or reasons you may not make this deadline. If the host mailed the prize themselves, they must include a picture of the postage receipt. Adding a tracking number is not required but it is helpful in case the prize does not reach its destination.

4) Flash contests (those ending within 24 hours) will not be listed on Sidebar or Wiki page.

5) All hosts reserve the right to designate a winner at their own discretion.

6) If the host needs the address(es) from winner(s), they must send the winner(s) a private message in addition to the [Winner(s)] post. If the winner does not reply to the message within 48 hours, the host must choose a different winner and original winner gives up their prize. In addition, the host MUST message the mods with the new winner.

7) If you need to make a change to your contest, please reach out to the moderators before you make the change/edit your post. Moderators must be made aware and approve of any changes to rules, end-dates, etc.

8) Hosts are required to have a lips badge at the minimum to be able to host a contest.

For PARTICIPANTS:

1) Be sure to read all rules and qualifications necessary to participate in the contest.

2) Watch out for a [Winner(s)] thread once contestcloses. Please message moderators if the [Winner(s)] are not posted within 24 hours and if a [Glammed] thread for winner(s) is not posted within 7 days of the contest ending.

3) Do not post comments which coerce the host to change the prize, theme, method of picking winner, or your disagreement with the winner chosen.

4) A [Thanks] thread must be posted when item is received. Be sure to include the host's username in the title of your [Thanks] post.
