This opinion was expressed by MP Yuriy Stets (Bloc of Petro Poroshenko), who led Information Security Department of the National Guard of Ukraine since June 29, 2014.
"Development of the national information security strategy, management of the relative resources, protection of the national interests, support of freedom of speech are the functions, which under the military conflict require efficient and centralized management," he wrote on Facebook on December 1.The established ministry is to deal with providing of the population with the authentic information from the original sources, promotion of Ukraine all over the world, active counteraction to the Russian information aggression and prevention of the external influence on the national information space of Ukraine, Stets said.
