Written in Stone: Owner Jerry Reinsdorf said the White Sox went over budget to retain free agent Paul Konerko and sign Adam Dunn to a huge contract. Reinsdorf authorized the overrun because he thought the White Sox have a chance to get back to the playoffs, and he's right. Dunn provides much-needed production from the left side, where the White Sox had just 186 RBI last year. Their starting rotation is deep and talented, even if Jake Peavy, who will miss all of April, at least, as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery, doesn't make it back. The White Sox believe John Danks is close to becoming an ace, and Alexei Ramirez is close to becoming an All-Star-level shortstop. …
