The "Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Areas of the United States and Puerto Rico" wall map shows metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas, metropolitan divisions, and their component counties. Versions of this map are available for 2003 - 2009. The June 2003 map has an original and revised version. Please see "Differences Between June 2003 (original) and June 2003 (revised)" below for more details on the differences.

Combined Statistical Areas of the United States and Puerto Rico

The "Combined Statistical Areas of the United States and Puerto Rico" wall map shows combined statistical areas, and identifies their component metropolitan, and micropolitan statistical areas. Metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas which fall outside of combined statistical areas are also identified. However, the component counties of metropolitan and mircropolitan statistical areas are not identified. Versions of this map are available for 2003 - 2009. The June 2003 map has an original and revised version. Please see "Differences Between June 2003 (original) and June 2003 (revised)" below for more details on the differences.

Differences Between June 2003 (original) and June 2003 (revised)

The title differences between the June 6, 2003 (original) maps and the June 6, 2003 (revised) maps are:

  • The Buffalo-Cheektowaga-Tonawanda, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area became the Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area.
  • The New York-Newark-Edison, NY-NJ-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area became the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area.
  • The Suffolk County-Nassau County, NY Metropolitan Division became the Nassau-Suffolk, NY Metropolitan Division.
