Aims & scope
Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury is an open access, online journal encompassing all aspects of basic and clinical research findings, in the area of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injury. Articles on diagnostic and imaging aspects of the peripheral nervous system are welcomed as well.

Jörg Bahm was born in 1957 in Nürnberg, Germany, and grew up in Eastern Belgium. After studies in mathematics and informatics, he changed to medicine and achieved his MD degree in 1987. As a general, plastic and hand surgeon, he worked for 5 years at the Aachen University hospital and trained with Guy Foucher and Alain Gilbert . He has been dedicated to brachial plexus surgery since 1994, and has worked as chief surgeon in the Reconstructive Microsurgery Unit of the Franziskushospital in Aachen since 2000. Since 2003 he has also been a consultant for peripheral nerves in the Orthopaedic Department of the Erasme University Hospital in Brussels. Dr Bahm is an active member of the German (DGH) and Belgian (BHG) Hand Surgery Society and of the German Plastic Surgery Society (DGPRÄC). He has written over 40 scientific papers and presented on over 200 congresses. His specific interests are peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgical reconstruction of the upper limb.
