Zarnuqa (Arabic language: زرنوقة) was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Ramla.
In 1924, the land was sold by Shukri brothers, and Abd al-Rahman al-Taji al-Farouqi.[citation needed]
It was depopulated during the 1948 War on May 27, 1948 by the Givati Brigade of Operation Barak. It was located 10 km southwest of Ramla. Zarnuqa was mostly destroyed with the exception of a few houses.[citation needed]
In 1945 the village had a population of 2,620. However, 240 inhabitants were Jewish. The village had two elementary schools: an elementary school for boys which was founded in 1924, and in 1945 it had an enrollment of 252 boys; and one for girls which was founded in 1943, and in 1945 it had an enrollment of 45 girls.[citation needed]
