4-Phenylthiosemicarbazide (4-PTSC) is a thiosemicarbazide used as an agricultural chemical and pesticide. It also possesses antibacterial properties attributed to electron delocalisatoin in the thiosemicarbazide moiety.[2] As a thiosemicarbazide it might also possess antitumour properties[3], as well as antiviral and metal-chelating (thus originating their oxidative-reductive capabilities) ones.[4]
