List of elements
The following is a table of chemical elements ordered by density and color coded according to type of element. Given is each element's name, element symbol, group and period, atomic weight (or most stable isotope), and certain chemical properties. This list of the elements and their properties is intended as a quick reference. Please check additional sources for discussions of uncertainties in individual properties, notably atomic weights. Where possible, data is sourced from the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).

[edit] Notes
- ^1 The element does not have any stable nuclides, and a value in brackets, e.g. [209], indicates the mass number of the longest-lived isotope of the element. However, three elements, thorium, protactinium, and uranium, have a characteristic terrestrial isotopic composition, and thus their standard atomic weights are given.
- ^2 The isotopic composition of this element varies in some geological specimens, and the variation may exceed the uncertainty stated in the table.
- ^3 The isotopic composition of the element can vary in commercial materials, which can cause the atomic weight to deviate significantly from the given value.
- ^4 The isotopic composition varies in terrestrial material such that a more precise atomic weight can not be given.
- ^5 The atomic weight of commercial lithium can vary between 6.939 and 6.996—analysis of the specific material is necessary to find a more accurate value.
- ^6 Does not solidify at 1 atm, even near absolute zero, but does at 2.5 MPa at 0.95K.
- ^7 Sublimes at 1 atm
- ^8 Transuranic elements 95 and above do not occur naturally, but can be produced artificially.
