Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) is one of two community colleges serving the South Bay region of Los Angeles. LAHC serves mainly students from Harbor City, Carson, San Pedro, Gardena, Lomita, Wilmington and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
LAHC accommodates over 8,900 students per semester, and is located between Wilmington and Harbor City, the heart of the Los Angeles harbor region.
As of 2010, 37% of LAHC's population were part-time students, with 65% describing themselves as full-time. The school population is about 40% male and 60% female.

LAHC offers, like most community colleges in the state of California, programs for students to eventually transfer to a four-year university as well as occupational training programs in business and office administration, electronics technology, computer technology, and nursing. The college also offers a program for international students.

Don Horn 1964 CO Capt. of the undefeated 9-0 Seahawks. San Diego State all American Quarterback. Drafted in the 1st round of the 1967 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. Played on the 1968 Super Bowl champs. Jerry Rodich CO Capt. of the 1964 undefeated 9-0 Seahawks. New Mexico State. At one time started both ways at center and defensive tackle. Mention in Street and Smith All American in 1966. Played in the Continenal football league for Vancouver. Haven Moses played on the 1964 undefeated Seahawks. 1st Team All American 2 years. All American two years at San Diego State. Drafted 9th in the first round of the NFL draft in 1968. All Pro four times. Lloyd Edwards played on the 1964 9-0 Seahawks. Out of Narbone high school. Started two years at San Diego State two years. Drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 2nd round of the NFL 1968 draft. Bobby Brooks started at halfback on the 1964 Seahawks football team. 2 year starter on the Seahawk baseball team. Drafted in the 1965 Major League baseball draft by the Oakland A's. Spend 2 years in the majors with Oakland and Detroit. Jim Height played on the 1964 9-0 Seahawk football team. Went on and Started two years at San Diego State. Played a Year in the CFL in Canada. DeQuin Evans began playing football at Los Angeles Harbor College in 2007 under head coach Andrew Avilar. The team won its first football game against Ventura College and continued on to a 5-5 season. Even without the greatest season, the team produced several Division I football athletes from 2007-2009.
