In this week's gabfest, DoubleX founding editor Hanna Rosin along with managing editor Jessica Grose and editor Kate Julian discuss gender parity in college sports and whether Title IX needs to be reformed, the New York Times magazine piece about President Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, and the state of the modern princess on the eve of the Prince William/Kate Middleton wedding.

The DoubleX weekly "coffee talk" endorsements:

Kate Julian recommends Framing Innocence: A Mother's Photographs, a Prosecutor's Zeal, and a Small Town's Response, by Lynn Powell. The book is about Cynthia Stewart, an Oberlin, Ohio mom who took a sweet snapshot of her daughter in the tub and shortly thereafter found herself accused of child pornography. Powell, a poet, explores how the different interpretations of one photograph can have enormous implications.

Jessica Grose is thoroughly enjoying the underrated sitcom Happy Endings, about a group of friends dealing with the breakup of two of their core members. Former Saturday Night Live castmate Casey Wilson is really funny on the show, which is quietly the best new comedy on TV.

Hanna Rosin praises the acting skills of Joel Kinnaman, who plays the riveting Det. Stephen Holder on The Killing.
